Melissa & John Gargani pitt82 Provide Endowments for Three Chapters
Melissa & John Gargani are pleased to call two states home; their birth state of Pennsylvania and their new home in Texas. They have a strong love for both locations and the chapters that reside there. That is why they established a unique fund for the benefit of three Triangle chapters.
The Melissa & John Gargani Educational Fund is designed to help the Pittsburgh (John’s chapter), the Texas A&M and Houston chapters each year. The fund will provide financial assistance to each chapter to attend leadership development conferences, purchase computers, furniture and supplies for their chapter’s study rooms and libraries and be utilized to offer academic scholarships to chapter members.
Both Melissa & John feel strongly in providing opportunities for individuals to excel as leaders with character and integrity within their professions and communities. A vision shared by Triangle, thus making this a natural partnership. With the Gargani’s investment in Triangle the Foundation will be able to positively change the lives of future engineers, architects and scientists at three of our campuses.

In a comprehensive research project started in December of 2007 the Triangle Education Foundation is pleased to say that the years of investments in educational and leadership programs are paying off and changing the lives of young engineers as planned. The research project took over 12 months to complete and is the first step in the formal evaluation process of the various programs the Foundation funds each year.
In cooperation with the Fraternity the Foundation hired Dr. Tom Jelke, an expert in higher education assessment, to provide quantitative and qualitative assessment of its programs and participants since their inception in 2001. Both the Fraternity and Foundation were enormously pleased with the final results.
