A Dollar Today, A Leader Tomorrow |

 In 1985, Ronald Reagan was President, the Titanic was discovered, the first .com was registered, Microsoft Windows 1.0 was released, and Triangle Fraternity started its legacy of opportunities for the education of its members with its first scholarship fund.
In that year Jim Rust pur56, and Triangles across the nation, received the unfortunate news that his mentor, and long time Purdue Chapter advisor, Dr. Elias Sabbagh passed away. In knowing this, Rust felt it only fitting to make sure Sabbagh’s name, and passion for education, lived on by forming a scholarship for the Purdue Chapter in his name. Then Executive Director, Jack Sargent, agreed on the idea after permission was received from Dr. Sabbagh’s two Purdue Triangle sons, Harold and David. and, over the years, sent in a number of gifts to establish the fund. The first award for $1000 was given in 1987 and has continued to this day, impacting the lives of over 20 men of the Purdue Chapter to date.

Report Proves Triangle Education Foundation is Changing Lives |
In a comprehensive research project started in December of 2007 the Triangle Education Foundation is pleased to say that the years of investments in educational and leadership programs are paying off and changing the lives of young engineers as planned. The research project took over 12 months to complete and is the first step in the formal evaluation process of the various programs the Foundation funds each year.
In cooperation with the Fraternity the Foundation hired Dr. Tom Jelke, an expert in higher education assessment, to provide quantitative and qualitative assessment of its programs and participants since their inception in 2001. Both the Fraternity and Foundation were enormously pleased with the final results.
The results of the data analysis indicate that the leadership programs are meeting or exceeding the vast majority of their desired outcome goals when it comes to providing participants with the leadership skills needed to run and elevate chapter programming. Participants believed their Triangle leadership training experiences made a significant contribution to their development as leaders during college, and after college - in their workplaces and communities.

Triangle Education Foundation Board Approves Strategic Plan |
After several months of meetings and hard work by the Foundation Board and staff the Board approved its new Strategic Plan at its January meeting.
