trey_with_congressman.jpgThe Triangle Education Foundation is pleased to announce it has elected Dan (Trey) Springer, III to its Board of Directors effective September 1, 2008.  Trey fills a newly created position on the Board to represent the undergraduate population the Foundation serves.

Mr. Springer is a member of the Michigan Chapter of Triangle Fraternity.  At Michigan he is making progress towards degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering and Computer Science Engineering with an expected graduation date of December 2009.  Springer has posted an impressive 3.318 GPA during his time at Michigan.

During Trey’s tenure with Triangle, he has served as Recruitment Chair, VP of Internal Affairs and President of his chapter.  He is also a graduate of the Steven L. Miller President’s Academy and DRIVE Recruitment Track.

As an undergraduate Board Member, Trey will be asked to provide valuable input on current campus life, undergraduate engineering education demands and the feedback on current programs funded by the Foundation.  In addition, he will serve as a full board member with vote and expected to provide comments and evaluation of traditional governance issues such as budgeting, strategic planning and policy development.  He was selected from an impressive pool of nominees to serve a one year term on the Board.
